Agave syrup is made almost entirely from fructose, which has a particularly high solubility and is about 1.2 times sweeter than regular table sugar. The sweet syrup is also considered a vegan sweetener and a sugar substitute in the household.

Buxtrade GmbH, at that time still under the legal form "GbR", was founded in the summer of 2014 by two young men who wanted to build up a sideline alongside their day-to-day work.
