The sweetening power of erythritol (E968) is about 70% that of sugar. Erythritol is a virtually calorie-free, natural and tooth-friendly sugar substitute. Erythritol crystals look similar to sugar or xylitol. The taste is mildly sweet and most similar to sugar of all sugar alcohols. Erythritol is easily soluble and helps to maintain tooth mineralization when consumed in foods/beverages that contain erythritol instead of sugar. Sweetness: 70% as sweet as sugar

In Buxtehude, just outside Hamburg, all products are carefully filled by hand into resealable stand-up pouches.
