Product details
Locust bean gum
Locust bean gum (E410) is extracted from the seed of the jannis bread tree. It is completely soluble in hot water and forms gels in cold water. For this reason, it is used as a thickener. It can also be used as a stabilizer.
Locust bean gum is generally approved for use in foodstuffs and is frequently found in jams, marmalades, jellies, baked goods, canned fruits and vegetables, as well as ice cream and mixed milk drinks, among other things.
