Since March 2015, the World Health Organization has recommended reducing daily sugar calories to five percent, equivalent to 25 grams. However, a cup of fruit yoghurt already contains 18 grams, and the average intake of sugar is currently around 90 grams per day. A drastic reduction is therefore recommended.
