Xylitol has almost the same sweetening power as sugar and leaves a slightly cooling effect when consumed. Sugar and sugar substitute in comparison
Xylitolcan replace sugar almost 1:1. The same ratio is sufficient for most recipes: 50 g of xylitol is equivalent to around 50 g of sugar in terms of sweetening power. Xylitol is also convincing in comparison to other sugar substitutes, such as erythritol.An important difference:As erythritol only has around 60-70% of the sweetening power of sugar, around 100 g of xylitol corresponds to the sweetness of 120-140 g of erythritol.
Xylitol is also found naturally in small quantities in fruit and vegetables such as berries and cauliflower. Our xylitol is extracted from wood and is of purely vegetable origin. If you want to buy high-quality xylitol, our product is an excellent choice for a sugar-reduced diet.
Did you know? Xylitol does not caramelize like sugar. As a result, baked goods often remain lighter in color while retaining their sweetness. In addition, consumingfoods or drinks that contain xylitol instead of sugar helps to maintain tooth mineralization.
